I am looking for a good, low budget caterer to feed a cast & crew of about 30. This will be in the LA area in January for 3 days.

Thank you in advance.

Who did you end up going with, Stephen?

I have been using Food Fetish and Jennie Cooks for a long time. They are both very good caterers, give excellent value for the $, and are flexible with their rates. Jennie tends towards the healthy, Joel at Food Fetish tends toward the feel-good.
For either, the lowest I would recommend is $12/head. At that rate they will give you a solid selection of meals, very nicely presented, and will leave the crew feeling taken care of. I have gone as low as $8 with FF, but frankly wouldn't recommend it - too low-grade.

I'd like to add a few new solid caterers to my roster as well though - any recommendations?

I ended up deciding to simply do a one-hour walkaway lunch. No caterer. However, seeing as everyone is working for basically nothing, I am going to give everyone a small sum of money for lunch. Should they choose to spend it all or none, it's their money to use for whatever they'd like.
