Absolutely.  Why not?  Perhaps you can share some insight into your job aspects on the forums or other postings.  Welcome.

Why do you feel Forums are better than Newsgroups?

Newsgroups are great, don't get me wrong.  They allow people to communicate and share info - but, it also can spam your email box with topics or chatter you just don't care to look at all the time.  A forum is one site you can go to, and everyone's comments, questions, thoughts and other posts are organized by category.  You can select to 'subscribe' to a topic, and if someone posts after you, you get an email.

I really like them, and you should give it a try!
